A Kentucky murder conviction has been thrown out after it was revealed the prosecutor was having an affair with the lead detective on the case. Kentucky Commonwealth Attorney Linda Tally Smith, who remains married to District Judge Jeff Smith, admits she was having an affair with Boone County Sheriff's investigator Bruce McVay in 2014.
